Guys is it just me or was scholsey far too fond fo trying the one touch "flick" last night?
I've noticed it in a couople of games where instead of taking a touch he is trying to lay it off with a single touch.
When it comes off it is brilliant but when he does it four or five times it is just a total waste of possession.

Don't get me wrong I think scholes is brilliant but just an observation

Your thoughts?

Its what he's good at and he's got us a couple of goals this season already by doing that. Its what makes him one of europe's best midfielders. It only has to come off once in a game for it to be worth it. You can't win every game by 5 to 10 goals, converting every chance. A player has done well if one thing comes off, a beckham free kick, or a giggs cross, a keane cut back, a scholes flick, a veron through ball, if any of these works just right and gets a goal - then thats good. If a few of them manage it, then its a very good win. Normally only a couple will make something come off, and its different players each game. They're not perfect, and they don't have to be, because the opposition aren't either.

you could at least get his name right before taking a stupid potshot at the bloke, yer jackass!!!!!!

those flicks and chips are what MU need to get into the box vs. a nine man defense. MU don't have a real dribbler so a flick/chip with ruud or ole' at the end of it , like neil posted , it need only work once. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

Giggsy's a dribbler or I've been dreaming for 12 years.

Scholes is a great player, i just don't think he's comfortable playing so high up the pitch. He's at his best when he's arriving late into the box. He's more comfortable playing as the most advanced midfielder behind a front 2 not as a second striker
