Is to be released next halloween, according to wikipedia the plot is to explain what happened to Corbett, the daughter of Lynn Denlon and Jeff Reinhart, following the conclusion of Saw III.

Hope its as good as the previous ones i.e great story line with more of that good old torture porn

your thoughts..

I >>>>> II > III >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> IV

IV was absolutely dire shit, they should have stopped with III at latest.

Nothing beats the first one for me, great twist.

They don't give a shit about how shit the coming episode is. They'll get their money back on curious cinema goers anyway. Serie movies pays off, fact.

Why is this still going it seems there is a new one out every six months. Overkill and they were not even that great in the first place.

No. That title belongs to the second one. Absolutely dreadful.

This falls into the 'Why the feck are they still making these' category alongside the spoof movies of the past 5 years.
Seems like our taste in films is quite alike based on what I've seen in this and the movie threads. I've rated 22 films I've ever seen 5/5. What do you reckon you'll give the following?

Apocalypse Now
Before Sunrise
A Clockwork Orange
The Usual Suspects
Shichinin no samurai
Donnie Darko
The Elephant Man
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Return of the Jedi
Kill Bill - Vol. 1
Lost Highway
Memento
Mulholland Drive
Nostalghia
Old Boy
Empire Strikes Back
Scarface
Star Wars
Twin Peaks
Waking Life
Yojimbo

I can add that I rated most of these a few years ago and all of them might not get the same rating if I see them again. And yes, Twin Peaks is a series, but I love it so much that I rated the standalone pilot as a movie.

First one was too contrived. I don't mind unravellings plots, but I hate the use of deus ex machina. The first one was bad, I can't believe they made sequels. What's more, I can't believe you've watched the sequels.

I've seen all them. Twin Peaks was/is great, but I didn't think the pilot was that good.

The first one was fantastic, pure genius. I enjoyed the second one, but it was never really going to live up to the original. The third was alright and the fourth wasn't that good TBH.

so all in all, you'd rather watch sex and the city/the happening/iron man over saw v!?

a movie doesnt have to qualify as a classic to get a good ratings; it can be just entertaining, if you are not a gore fan then thats another story

One of the shittest films, ever made.

That is all.

You sir are a film snob, I bet you're into some pretentious shit.

I liked the first film, it kept me interested. I hate it when people describe decent popular films as "one of the shittest film ever made" this usually down to it's popularity. You obviously haven't seen many films if you consider this one of the worst. I don't consider this film a classic or anything but i found it highly entertaining.

No, I just thought it was shit.

I have no problems with popular films at all. Whatever popular film, means.

You have good tastes.

I watched Saw 1 and 2 one week when I was staying at my friend's cabin and there was nothing else to do.

May not be the best movies around but they are entertaining, and that's more than enough for me.

Never seen the 4th one though.

say what you will but the Saw films test the viewer's ability to watch gore, even if it's not real. People like to feel squeamish, it's not about the horror with the Saw franchise.

the only comparable film series in this respect are the Jackass films. I couldn't stay in the room while the dude was drinking horse cum in Number II but I've watched all the Saw films, as my wife likes them.

Best series of movies I've ever sean although I haven't seen the Godfathers which are supposed to be immense.

 Seriously? Godfathers should not be in the same sentence. Surely you have seen some Star Wars, I would even put Lord of the Rings over it... feck it... even Harry Potter.

I would watch Iron man before any of this Saw crap. They are shite.
