Yet another reason I want Birmingham to go straight back down
Bruce Convinced Savage Over Birmingham Move
Robbie Savage decided to move from Leicester to Birmingham City after meeting manager Steve Bruce.
City agreed a £2.5million deal with Leicester and the deal should go through once Savage has passed a medical.
Savage told www.eWorldSports.co.uk: "It gives me great pleasure to confirm that I will be joining Birmingham City on Thursday, subject to a medical.
"Although there had been speculation linking me with the club for some time, I officially heard of Birmingham's interest at the end of last week when my Leicester boss, Micky Adams, agreed a fee and gave me permission to talk to Steve Bruce.
"I was given the weekend to think over the move, but once I'd met Steve on Monday, my mind was made up.
"Having worked with him during my early days at Manchester United, he always came across as a leader, an inspiration to his team-mates and I'm sure that remains the case now he's moved into management."
Savage has also worked with Bruce's assistant Mark Bowen.
"I've also worked with Mark Bowen with the Wales squad, so I believe I will be in the ideal place to further my career in the Premiership.
"What also appealed to me was the fact that I am joining a very progressive club; the fans are regarded as a very vocal and loyal bunch and, if I can enjoy the same rapport with them as I have done with the Leicester fans, then it's going to be a fantastic move for me.
"As most people know, I play with my heart on my sleeve and I get the impression the Blues fans are just as passionate
