Inter have been warned that they could lose Santiago Solari to Manchester United if they fail to agree terms with the player.

The Nerazzurri’s initial contract offer has been rejected by the Real Madrid star who wants a healthier financial package.

And now Solari’s agent Alejandro Camano has told Inter chief Massimo Moratti to make his move or lose the player for good.

"The time for Santiago to leave Real Madrid has arrived," said Camano. "And the player is by no means satisfied with Inter’s offer."

Real Madrid have agreed to release the wide midfielder to Inter as part of the deal that saw Ronaldo move in the opposite direction last summer.

Reports yesterday suggested that city rivals Milan could hijack the deal but it now seems that Manchester United are very interested.

Real, who will have to give Inter £7m if Solari doesn’t join them, have claimed that numerous clubs have expressed a January interest in the Argentine.

I don´t like a former Madridist in my team, I hate real. Plus, I don´t think Solari is as good as everyone says. I´d really prefer someone like Laurent Robert for this position, he kicks ass.

Sorry but Robert is shit, he cant hack it in the tough games. I'd rather have a one legged Giggs mate. (But make sure its his left) ;)

IT IS ALL PAPER TALK ANYWAY. HOW MANY PLAYERS HAVE WE SIGNED?

HOW MANY ARE WE LINKED WITH?

Duh 0? Nil? The only noisy link is that guy Bellion <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Why no madridist?
cos u think that madrid is a crap team with pushovers yeah..fine.If any body is good enough
to play along with Zidane,Ronaldo or Raul and more particularly in burnabeu he must be special.
Do u know what platini said about Solari some time back.Check this these were his near exact words."playing against Zidane is tough enough and
playing for Zidane is even more harder.Solari is a special player who plays with ease".maybe platini should listen to you.

Solari is class. He was very important last season and only Cambiasso's return has kept him from starring this year.

He plays on the left, but is not a winger like Giggs.

I would agree with godiepeco that I wouldn't want a Madrid player on United. After coming from such an "incredible" team as they are, I'm sure that would bring a lot of mental baggage. That because he comes from Real he is better than everyone else. Believe me I've seen this a lot with players, from my playing experience. Sure I could totally be wrong and he could join a team and totally embrace them. But I do believe he is a great player. If the latter of my two opinions were right, then I would love him to come to United to provide cover for Giggs and replace him after he decides he cannot give United anything else.

Madrid is trying to offload solari cos of these reasons. The policy of Real madrid is to groom their young talent, buy world class players combine them as a team and produce results. Now they have world class players their only problem is they cannot promote Raul Bravo cos del bosque is finding it difficult to subscribe Bravo for Solari.
We are also a big club with so many world class midfielders so no room for any egos. Solari too is young and fast.We can invest on Solari as a long time replacement for giggs(Giggs is not getting younger these days).

Now Solari is worth 7 million. If he plays in Italy or Spain for three more years he would be 30 million.

Why not we buy him now?

Let´s face it, no player in the world would like to leave an important champions league winner club like real, specially after winning an important place in the first team like Solari did last season. That´s why he hasn´t signed for any club, he´s doing all he can to stay at madrid and if you pay attention to his words to the press, it´s so obvious he wants to stay. I just wouldn´t like United to sign a player against his will, that´s all. He would be depressed having to start back again only to be in the first team of his club, and you know he had it hard at real. Plus, if he was that good, he would stay and they´d get rid of other players they don´t need like mcManamman, Moriemtes or even Cambiasso (he´s at the bench with conceicao great shape).

I think buying another midfield player over a striker is unrealistic, especially as Butt came off the bench on sunday. Anyway K Richardson looks the part so far as I can see.He only needs a bit of weight on him and he'll be as good any of the young prospects I've seen on the left.Give the youth system a chance.
