Who has / was the better signing just by going on their respective first seasons performance. For me James - not saying he was the answer and hence sold for a profit.
He was then replaced by a very expensive Bundesliga Star that had a worse first season then he did.
 
We have to see what happens, bit of a pointless thread.
 
Sancho will prove to be far superior. Last season was a shambles for everyone.
 
James was a pleasant surprise in his first few months here but his (lack of) quality started to show not long after, mostly when teams became aware of his threat.

Sancho has had a tough ride this season but he obviously has a lot more quality than James and barring another squad collapse he will no doubt look the better signing

James is a mid table level player at the very most and the fact we signed him and played him so often is a big indicator of our failings in recruitment and ambition.

Are you the same guy who said Heaton is a better goalkeeper than De Gea?
