Isn't it time the FA took action against clubs who come out with this type of trash.

I can only assume what you're alluding to but fully agree. Why doesn't the club put forward a proposal to have this outlawed.

A couple of years ago my ten year old nephew (a City fan) called me a "Munich"...
He said that's what people call United fans...
I just sat him down and explained to him where the name comes from and how it was a quite reprehensible thing to call a United fan...
About how it was referring in a very disparaging way to a great tragedy, I've never heard him say that word since... ...
One nil to common sense and tolerance... ...

Unfortunately the rivalry within the city of Manchester is intense and if the disaster was on the other foot red mancunians would do a similar thing.
Good friendships are lost even in the playgrounds due to team loyalty, supporting your team is on the level of religion,so animosity is to be expected.
I know its not on the same par but how many on here were in the east stand singing songs about inbreeding and incest to bolton fans?</strong><hr></blockquote>
i don't think songs about inbreeding strike the same chord as munich references, sin. . .unless of course there really are bolton fans with webbed feet and 12 fingers.
most football fans know where to draw the line between banter and outright intended offence. . .comments about tragedies such as munich and hillsborough are beyond the pale, and anyone who makes light of them is scum, quite frankly.

What you say michael owen's mum is obviously correct but the self righteous attitude of some fans (Leeds) doesn't help...
Last season there was a banner at Elland Rd for the Man United game which said "Istanbul Reds" and their web sites were full of how "EVERY SINGLE" Man United fan is scum...
What was that all about?...
Making light of that Istanbul thing was absolutely dreadful but it just angered me that Leeds fans (The Munich singers) of all fans suddenly see fit to try and claim the moral high ground...

often the case though, isn't it?
even wankers have some kind of a conscience deep, deep down. . .it's just sad that it sometimes needs a tragedy on their own doorstep to access it.
