Could this be any good? Films based on computer games have always been shit but he has a lot of souce material with the Warcraft universe.

I think Raimi is a great choice. For this film to be any good it can't try to be as serious as The Lord of the Rings (as it will NEVER be as good). It needs to have a sense of humour.

I wouldn't mind a Warcraft: Orcs and Humans movie if they really stayed true to the game. To be honest that's the only Warcraft game I've ever played.

I'm only getting this from my cousin, but apparently the hero of the movie is a guy who is some kind of major jackass in Warcraft lore. Well, at least if you're on the horde side. Which I was.

If anything its the shamans and druids complaining about how overpowered the huntards and mages are, whereas they themselves are complaining how overpowered the hybrids are. Halfway through the twist reveals the Deathknight which shits on everyones party while the warrior remains obsolete child.
