What a talent this kid is, musically and lyrically.

Been listening to this on repeat, but to use the Geordie vernacular he's got loads of canny tunes.

Mind you, I hope he's weeping after the cup final at the weekend

He is a huge talent - obviously very influenced by Springsteen which is fine by me.

He's supporting Springsteen this summer, going to try and get some tickets to one of the shows.

Wow that would be incredible - Ive seen Springsteen live once and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen - to have Sam Fender supporting him would be a real treat. I'll have to see if I can also get some tickets!

I really like Sam Fender, although his mum must fecking hate that all his songs effectively say she was a skint, council house, waste who was on benefits all the time and cried on the floor all the time.

Still a Geordie cnut though, and I hope he's crying into his Stottie Cake and Newky Broon on Sunday teatime.

He's great. Been one of my favourites since his first album. Although I don't think anything he's done since has been quite as good.

You get the odd person who just makes the song/lyric writing part seem piss easy.

Spit of you is one of my favourite pop songs of the last 10 years

Yeah it’s his lyrics that blow me away. Just nails it. Again and again. Real standout in an era without much quality song-writing.

He's a good lad. Very class aware. Was reading how shocked he was at how the music industry is 80% privately educated types, as they can afford the lean pre fame years and or are connected to industry bods.

He's bang on by the way. Film is worse.

Really like the new song Arm’s Length, had it on a load over the last couple of weeks. His Glastonbury set in 2023(?) was one of my favourites in recent times too.

Never listened to him, so thought i'd give him a spin on Spotify.
1st song, People Watching .... what is this reminding me of?

edit: Red Eyes, War On Drugs.

I've never really listened to War On Drugs either, but remembered that tune. Looks like one of them co-produced Sam's song.
Didn't realise that, makes sense. Wish they'd release a new album of their own. Well worth diving into more of their stuff if you like Red Eyes!

War on Drugs are great. You can definitely hear the same sound between them and Sam Fender.
