No need to plunge into the transer market when the window next opens. As things stand today, I feel that this decision should be backed.

However, a utility striker would be welcome, if we can sign someone. Our striker department is not very deep, and, God forbid, if we get a couple of injuries, we would not seem so good any more. But, we can still inject a youngster, if the need arises, in case we don't sign anyone to play in the front.

But, surely, I would back him in the decision he is taking. As of today, the better half of our team is going to come roaring back soon. It's going to be a long season, but, we have the resources to cope with it.

I don't think LB is as pressing now given that O'Shea has been quite a nice surprise.

I do think we still need a pacy striker.

This is not a Transfer Talk topic, chuck it back into the United Forum.

what i was saying just before i was rudely interrupted..
whilst theres no need to panic buy i still think we need to fill the squad out a bit. Theres no guarantee those returning from injury wont break down again. Id hate to be in a neck and neck situation at the end of the season needing a couple of points to win the league, then lose out because someone gets injured/banned and there turns out to be no cover.

I still think an addition to the squad would be a good idea, especially up front.

I think he's going to give Webber a few games to see how he copes and if he's a success the striker issue wont be top priority, yet. I hope he gives him a chance anyway though cos I think he'll go a long way.

This is the idea I would personally prefer over the others. It could prove great. But, a gamble it surely will be. Who would deny that bringing a new player could be a bigger gamble?
