Hi all. Its a bit overcast at Newlands. SA have won the toss and chose to bat. Pollock is sitting this one out. Currently 18/0 after 8 overs.

Newlands has to be the most picturesque ground in world cricket.

Adelaide Oval is the most scenic anyway.

Is it feck. It's just average. And an awful city to boot.

The only grounds that can match Newlands are St Lucia, St Vincent and Queenstown, NZ.

You chose the wrong 2 weeks mate. It does rain in the summer but hardly ever for more than 3 or 4 days.
The best time to go is December or end March to early April.

btw, aweful performance from the SA team. No bite in the bowling attack.

I went in december a couple of years back.

Went to a Wedding at Cape Town. It pissed it down.

Tomorrow's morning session is going to make superb viewing...

Well, for a match that doesn't actually mean anything I mean.

I agree Melbourne Red because we ended up winning 3-0 on their hom turf what which is one hell of an achivement. Shows how we beat them into submission and they were unable to handle out class throughout the 6 nconsecutive tests. This is why we are the world's number 1 test team.
