RvN to Malaga

Can't believe Ruud went to the Spanish Man City. What a judas prick.

I hope Malaga attempt to stop the dominance of the top 2 clubs.

He apparently had an offer from Wisla Krakow as well, surprisingly he rejected it.

Is it the cnut version of Qataris who stole the World Cup who own it or just one guy?

I'm rooting for Malaga ever since Jose publically humiliated Pellegrini unprovoked.

That's a good way to look at it. I like Pellegrini. Very good manager and honest character without being a prick.

Owned by a Sheikh that's from the family that basically owns Qatar.

Ahh, that's interesting.

It's a shame about these new rules coming in limiting club wages alongside club profits.

Won't give them as much of a chance to catch up to Madrid and Barca as City have had in the PL.

have they signed anyone decent bar Ruud, + what decent players do they have/looking at?

They had Demichelis on loan last season and have signed him as well. They've got Baptista, Maresca and Duda. And they've signed a promising player who has fallen a bit off the radar called Diego Buananotte. Don't know what else they have.

Good for Ruud to return to a league which is more suited to his style in his later years..

RUUD RUUD RUUD!!

Haven't heard nothing about Malaga having serious amount of money.. Gefate was the club which was bought by the UAE-based group earlier this year.

The biggest signing really was Pellegrini.

Baptista's been good for them since he arrived in January. They bought Demichelis and got a couple of good young Spanish players, Atletico loaned them Asenjo but he got injured straight away. Nothing spectacular but all reasonable stuff that kept them in La Liga.

I don't remember any predictions on what they'll spend in the summer.

"Kept them in La-Liga"

With Sheiks onboard you'd think they'd have higher asperations.

Whether they arn't willing to spend as much as City or there policy is slower or hasn't kick started off yet, there team, even with those additions is not going to get them anywhere higher than midtable surely?

Although as you put it, yes, Pelegrini is a good signing for a relitivley small club.

They were nearly relegated in 2010 - the club got sold that summer. Nothing much happened until they recruited Pellegrini in November, I think they were bottom of the table at the time.

From a buyer point of view, it was cheap and it gets decent size crowds. It's not a bad location - he probably parks his yacht there sometimes. A nice easy introduction to Spanish football, provided they didn't get relegated straight away. Now they might start doing a bit of shopping.

The Spanish press claim that they're going to bid for Pastore and Cazorla - which doesn't mean anything in terms of who they'll get but those are the sort of players they'd like to go for.

They'll also apparently bid for Nicolas Otamendi but I've no idea who that is (yes, I know he plays for Porto as a central defender)

If they get it right and Pellegrini stays then it could make Valencia's life harder.

Otamendi is decent, with margin for improvement... He played as a RB for Argentina in the World Cup, not very good on that position though.

Good move for both parties. RVN will play in a style that will suite him. They get one of the worlds great strikers

Good luck to ol' Horsey. I hope Malaga give the league a bit of a shake... Villareal too.

Would be some achievement to win the golden boot once more. He's the most goal mad person on this planet hence Inzaghi.

Really impressed by how fit and focussed he looked last night - still an absolutely class act.

I can't think why on earth Spurs didn't go in for him this summer - he'd have been great in that team alongside VdV, Modric, Lennon, Bale et al. Certainly would score more than their current options.
