Anyone here know the exact figures of the number of goals ruud scores and the number of games he had played for us so far??

henry needed 181 games for the arse to reach his century mark for the arse, if i m not wrong, ruud got around 60+ goals in 80+ games. Should reach 100 faster than henry. ;)

Played: 77 (subs included, Charity Shield not)
Scored: 56

= 100 goals after 137.5 matches.

if he redicovers his scoring touches in the next couple of games i have no doubt he'll reach a century before 137.5 matches even.

van's the man for me,better than Henry in the scoring part cos Henry likes to look good and likes to try spectacular things but Ruud will take tap-ins and say thank you and is better than Henry in heading too

seems to be the tradmark of the French lads.. from Cantona, to Ginola, to Henry, to Pires, to Wiltord, to Laurent Robert, to Zidane, to Trezeguet.. all very much alike.. can't blame them tho.. they sure can all score some spectacular goals..

Henry and Ruud, whilst being very different players, have excellent strike rates. Both have to amounst the top 5 or 10 in the world. We are lucky to have one of them. He's not been on top form recently but he's still scoring and every goal counts

Sure, but Zidane can score some good goals with his head. Henry couldn't put his head to a hat.

very impressive. barring any disaster, he would set the record for reaching 100 goals for his club in the fewest games played. :)

some other players' record:

bergkamp : 100 goals in 184 appearances.
shearer: 100 goals in 195 appearances.

The number of minutes played is more important than the number of games played when compiling stats don't you think?

look the BBC sport poll... 66% of them said Henry's better then RVN.....

Can anyone recalculate those figures with penalties removed? I don't really consider them as goals "scored" by the striker.

Henry is flashier. Some people confuse that with better.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Not really suprising. Ruud plays for the biggest and most hated club in this country. If you don't support us then you hate us. It stands to reason that any none united fans will choose any but a united player. Plus Ruud has got a bit of bad press this season.
Accused of constant diving etc....

These polls are all about MOMENTS. Henry is now, after a series of games in which he went scoreless, going on a good scoring run while Ruud went 4 PL games not scoring missing chances left and right.
