Not bad for somebody who only scores against the weak teams. 
Ruud is superb. Even when he doesn't score he will usually do something useful.

you beat me to it, i was going to post exactly the same thing.
don't those qualifying round goals count in the 18 hes scored for United??...i'm sure they do... however I know they don't count for tournament top scorer...
ok... I stand corrected... however its not like he needs any more goals... wonder how many hes gonna get this season... probably break more records... what a player!!

While they may not count in the competition, they should count at Ruud's figures, which means he's surpassed Andy Cole by two goals now.
His goals v. ZTE doesn't count as Champions League goals but they count as European goals.
And in case you had forgotten: Cole scored v. Lodz in the qualifiers 1998 so if Ruud's on 18 Cole should only be on 17.

Amazing. Ruud will at least get three times more goals in Europe then Cole when he reaches 30.
