Ruud van Nistelrooy has asked ManUtd.com to clear up the rumours of a return to PSV Eindhoven.

Speaking to the official magazine of the Dutch club, Ruud said that he would consider returning to his former club once his United career is over.

These quotes were taken up by the English media, who made out that he wants to return to Holland at the end of his three-year United contract.

Ruud wishes to make it clear that he is loving his time here at United, and wants to see out his career at Old Trafford. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> a true <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

ask him again at the end of the season, or shortly prior, when we win some trophies, one, two or maybe three, he will tell you he will sign any contract placed before him.
in fact, i think i just read about he was given a raise in renumeration to be on par with Scholes and the like. That would make him a happy striker!

and i think he is already a red, No?!!

besides, i wouldnt put much weight on such reporting, which can be misquoted, bearing in mind it's the PSV magazine who he gave the interview!! That can be just wishful thinking of the club, interpreting something what they want to hear.
I read about Veron rebutting those rumour about him wanting to go back to italy, citing that was absolutely nonsense and suggested that it's Lazio who is spreading the rumour in a bid to get him back!!!
