Ruud - Scary Stuff !!!!

After watching the match tonight against Basle, I was in awe of our man Van Nistelrooy!! His first goal was his usual well taken, "right place at the right time", finish, but his second!! That was one of the best goals I've seen us score in the CL. It was a scarily good piece of individual play. And the angle he finished at!! Genius!

Now I know Ruud had an AMAZING season for us last year, but if u ask me that was just the tip of the iceberg of what he can do. Last season he was the perfect goal poacher, and also held the ball brilliantly with his back to goal - but this season we have started to see him turn and take players on, and realise that he has a whole other facet to his game - And the second goal tonight was the perfect example. I've seen lots of goal clips from when Ruud played with PSV and so many of them he made himself by beating players with skill and pace, and I think we are only really starting to see that from him this season!!.

So the scary part is, last season he was amazing, but that wasn't him at his best?? How many will he score this year!!

isn't this already his second season?

last i recalled his tally is now in 2 digits. Considering the season we have had and his injury this is a good number to rack up.

And since we started playing flowing football again against Newcastle Ruud has scored 5 goals in 2 games. Good 'nuff for an expensive Cole IMO.

Ruud already has as many goals in the CL as Andy Cole managed in (how many) seasons with United?

Scary to think he can still get better... :D
