Anyone got any suggestions for good music to run to?

Current ipod playlists are going a bit stale.

I cannot bear the thought of trying to run without any music. I've exhausted the following. Chem Bro's, Soulwax, 2manyDjs, Failthless, David Guetta, James Zabilea.

I usually just select all tracks on random play. Songs I'd usually skip through are remarkably more durable when I'm trying not to collapse of exhaustion

I've tried that but it didnt work, and it sapped all my motivation as the beat was all wrong.I ended up faced with a gruelling hill whilst listening to newton faulkner.

If you like 2 Many DJs, I'd recommend Girl Talk. Similar in principle, but instead of mashing 2 or 3 songs together Girl Talk takes 20 or 30 samples from songs and blends them into something new, usually with some filthy rap vocals over the top.... It works better than that sounds to be honest.

But it makes for good running music - it's what I've been listening to recently.

Here's a sample, though his last album (Feed The Animals) is easily his best.

Cheers man. I'll check out Girl Talk - I cant run the you tube from work.

Need all the help I can get. 1/2 marathon in Jan and diary is already full with xmas piss ups.

Yes. If something like that happens, it's sometimes a good idea to skip to the next song.

I hate hills

Ouch! That's bad timing for a 1/2 marathon - after all that over indulging in fine food and beverages... rather you than me to be honest, but good luck!

Cheers mate.

I usually come out Jan time looking like a fookin anti-obesity campaign due to the above. I committed to this run thinking it would be a good way to keep trim and in shape for footy over xmas.

I thought it was a 10k when said I’d do it though

:(

Prodigy are very good for running too. Can't go wrong with their best of, or Fat Of The Land.

Any music from the Rocky films, I love it. I listened to them all week on my MP4 player in the run-up to the CL final against Chelski, pumped me right up for it :D

Alright chief.

Dowloaded 'feed the animals' and listened to it for the first time tonight whilst running. Good call. Not as into the r&b / hiphop suff as much as house but still good running music. Some good re-hashes of some ols school tunes in there...

plus a sample of bit of 'Ace of Base' which made me smile!

Thanks for the recommendation.
