Ok, I am getting comments in a thread that I'm a Liverpool fan.

To clarify it once and for all I'm a United fan through and through. Although I may come out as being harsh on our team performance and thinking that SAF is almost past it, it's only because I want us to be number 1 in the world. Not that i will stop supporting them if they don't win - i am no gloryhunter, but i do like to point things out when i think they're wrong.

Although:

1. I have no idea what's wrong with saying ManYoo.
2. I have no idea what ABU is.

Someone please explain.

What's with the fecking drama here, post your idiotic drivel until someone wakes up and bans you, it's long over-due. There is however no need to post you personal problems here in the United forum and tarnish it as the average poster here doesn't care how you feel.

Your explanation is not clear enough, more Proof is required..................

Have you ever been to Old Trafford?
Who was our manager after Sir Matt?
Who Scored the winning goal in the 1977 FA cup final?
Have you ever Been to an Away game?
What position did Remi Moses play?
Were you a hooligan in the 1970s?

1. - I don't see the problem in calling the team what it's actual name is... why this ManYoo in the first place??? - Not even funny...

2. Anyone But United.

Don't take every comment made in here too seriously, people like to wind others up at times. ;)

i'm going to try my best at this thing:

1. I live in Bangkok and work here with 2 weeks off a year - so there's not a lot of opportunities for me to go to Manchester and watch a game. Although i have watched these matches at stadiums:

Arsenal VS United in '91 at Highbury, we lost 3-1, this was the first game i ever saw of United and this was when i became a fan. Ironically enough it was because of my spite for the Arse. They won the championship in this game also (i have bad memory, but i think they did).

United VS Newcastle at Wembley, charity shield in '96, we won 4-0, Cantona with his superb performances are still stuck in my mind.

United VS Arsenal in '99, FA Cup semi-final first leg at Villa Park, i paid 175quid for the match (not the second leg with giggs frenzy goal, too bad i only managed to get tickets for the first game).

United VS Bangkok XI in '01, last year on their trip to Asia. I think it was a 2-1 win, was not interesting so i don't remember much. Although the Thai team did make United struggle - but then again, so did the other 30 teams United played against last season.

2. I believe Wilf somethin'? was promoted to manager.

3. I won't lie. I know they beat the scoushit 2-1, but i don't remember who scored. Like i said, i have bad memory.

4. No, like i said, i have only seen 4 matches of United in person.

5. to be honest, i don't know Remi Moses. my vague memory would suggest he was a midfielder though...

6. Ok, last one, I'm 22, so there's no way in hell i could have been a friggin hooligan in the 70's.

i never asked you to read or comment on this post. you can do whatever you want in this thing man, as long as i get replied i think it's ok with the moderators... i started a whole controversy with 120 posts in one thread! i'm proud of it, although not liking it very much. go start your own thread or something if you're too bored

Can't see any logic in, as a United-fan, to 're-name' the club... not even for a laugh... a piece of good advice would be to leave that sort of 'funny comments' to Arsenal, Liverpool or whatever team we're playing...

thank you.

with the past few days the tension has risen a lot since i have been very harsh with our performances and not a lot of people like it - so i really did not think you were playing with me.

I think you are too sensitive to what others think about you. Not necessarily a bad thing, but in here people will take advantage of that.

1. Our opponents love to call us "manure". SO you will understand why calling ourselves Man Yoo is a no-go.
2. ABU = Anyone But United. I personally take it as All Below United!

Have fun.

i was loving it actually.. the controversy i sparked with the editorial was amazing! i am actually quite proud of it..

although i did become unsettled when i had comments that i'm an ABU

for us to continue good debates we must first establish that we're on the same side - am i not right?

i've had people calling me ABU for a few days but i did not know what it was until today. so i'm hoping also that this thread will clear it once and for all that i'm a United fan, but i do criticize the team a lot also... just my opinions of how i think things could be.. i believe i'm entitled to it... :)

You basically called Sir Alex Ferguson a senile old twat on a United board in a 100 word long fecking shite essay and then you're proud because it caused controversy. Yes, nice job.

you must be kidding, are you the only one that doesn't know that we DID NOT win against Villa and that we haven't exactly been 'winning' games by miles? We barely made the Olympiakos game too.. so... there goes your argument then... :D

And yes, I am a United fan. I joined this forum because I am a United fan. If i have to say it again I will. I like to make criticisms because i don't like to go to cloud 9 fooling myself of the team's performances... yeah sure we win, but seems like not many care that we can play much better.. should i feel sorry that i care to point out where i think we maybe going wrong?

:D it was 1,000 words actually. And yes, i'm afraid that he's turning into an old bag that's why i said what i said. I'd be happy to see him prove me wrong. He's proven so many critics wrong in the past, if he can't get over this type of thing now then i think i may have made valid points. It's going to be sad, but he's going to be let go as a result. Wasn't it a nice feeling to have had so many fans join in the thread to provide their faith in SAF? If only he could see the thread i'm sure he would love the support you are all giving him. Of coz there were also people like me who are of the same opinions - but it's SAF job to overcome these criticisms, not for you to tell me i shouldn't write stuff like this.

We're turning into Real and Barca IMO.. substandard performances are not acceptable anymore at this club. The era after SAF i predict that we will be very much like the spanish giants.. we'll only care about winning trophies and no one can keep their jobs for simply caring about the youth program or improving club facilities like the old days.

Money will be God. Of course there'll be fans who do not care about winning so much.. but the board will not accept it - because their jobs will depend on the team to keep winning and bringing in cash..
