He was on Goals on Sunday and said there's pretty much no chance of going back, and they hadn't been in contact at all. He wants a team that will a) give him plenty of games, b) play in the Premier League. Even better if it's a club that's close to his house. It's just the papers putting two and two together. He won't get many games there and I don't see Rodgers wanting a player like him.

I think he would go if he was offered that contract, the thing is he isn't good enough to play for Liverpool so I doubt this is legitimate.
