Roy Jones knocked out

Is this the 1st time Jones has been knocked out since amateur boxing?? And by the way, that was truly a POWERFUL left by Antonio there....

I dont think he's ever been knocked out. He scandalously lost to a Korean fighter in the 88 Olympics (where even the guy who won conceded that Jones easily won), and then lost on a DQ in the mid 90s.

yeah now I remember.......he was totally disappointed but he was also cool about it since the Korean guy did admit that he didnt win the game(if thats really what the interpretor translated...)...Roy was just too damn awesome, must be those crazy trainings that his father made him to endure.....anyway, Roy is a legend...

I'm glad Tarver won. Tarver beat him up a bit in their first fight, but only fought for about a minute each round and lost the decision. Jones is his own matchmaker and always has done a great job of picking fighters that he knew he could beat.

Wasn't there a bit of controversy about Jones being given the decision in their first fight?

Very little, most agreed that Tarver wasn't busy enough. To take somebody's belt you really have to beat him.

Isn't Roy the 1st boxer to win titles in 4 different weight divisions..?

He did win 4 titles, but only the light-heavyweight and middleweight titles could be considered legitimate. He won a heavyweight belt from John Ruiz and Lennox Lewis was the real champ at the time. The other title was super middlewight which is kind of an invented weight class to make it a title fight. If you look at the list of guys he's fought, you'll see very few recognizable names.
