No-one seems to be suggesting Roy for MOM. I thought he was excellent. Bit of a hairy moment at the end, but most of the time he was solid, and was very confident.

Agreed Livvy, I thought he looked solid as ever, Fab has got some real pressure next year to keep his place. Nice one Roy, keep the good work up. His distribution was also very good and he looks a safe bet to be the next Red Keeper...

Fergie used to play Phil Neville central midfield so Keane was worried about his place !

Na don't think so, Carroll seems to keep me a tad less worried than Fab.! I'd give him a go (in goal) next season.. ;)

Carroll has never faced a top side with United, and his last game with Northen Ireland was a nightmare. Don't think he's necessarily the saviour.

That's true. We can but wait and see.

If Barthez would not recovered from his injury on Tuesday, United has no choice but to use Carroll.
The plus side is that he is better dealing with the high crosses than Barthez. With more agility training, he could even save all those bending free kicks with his long reaches. Barthez is like any other good keeper except that he possesses calmness in controlling the ball with his feet and also a tremendous accurate kick. After some mistakes earlier in the season which most likely will cause United loosing the Championship, He has changed and he now looked no diffrent to any other keeper.
