Ronaldo.........

He is the best striker in the world when he's healthy. His health would obviously be a big gamble. Real took the risk and it looks like its paying off for them. Can't see Real losing the CL for several years to come as long as he and Raul are working together.

He is only good when is on form and very much an individual player. He doesn't play as a team and never really help out defensively. I agree he only needs maybe 2 or 3 chances to convert them into a goal, but I am afraid he can only do that when he is on song. We must also not forget that he gets ample supply of opportunities created by Zizou, Figo and Raul. Without strong midfield support, he will just stroll around doing nothing. In addition, he is too expensive and we've already got a prolific striker, RVN. I prefer a good partner of RVN in the likes of Makaay, Kluivert or Kewell, who can drop into midfield and open up spaces for RVN to exploit.

he wont be as good as the Ronaldo of old..
but i have no doubt that he will be getting fitter and improving..
still one of the best striker around..
imagine what he can do after he's 100% fit

Makkay is very good, but I'm afraid that he will be uncompatible with current United tactics. He would be a very good reserver for Ruud. He's a bit irregular, and he's not very brave.

Kluivert is more linked-forward, and he is very good passer. But he is incredible fuzzy (I don't mean his hair), and although he is a good fellow, and uses to play fair, he is prone to troubles with referees due to his anger. He might not be very expensive now.

Pablo Aimar is better than Saviola in every point. And Valencia seems disposed to sell him, there are some problems with him. He's young, under 25.

Claudio Lopez, from Lazio, won't be expensive, and he's very fast, clever and clynical. He's not bad passer. A bit old, about 30.

Valery Karpin, from Real Sociedad. Fast, skilled, passer, useful. He would fit perfectly in United, but he's a bit old, and he's mad.

Yep, odds on favourite to win the CL right now.
