How about getting Roanaldo to play for United on loan? Reports said that now he is in an uncertain position as he has claimed that he doesn't want to play for Inter but Real cannot afford his transfer fees and the Inter fans and Manager do not want him back. I think United should have no problem paying his wages and the sum paid would be easily recovered by the amount of merchandise that would be sold. I think he will add more power to United's attack.

its nice in theory, but i have to think its very unlikely. Inter want rid, not a loan deal. The money may have gone out of Italian football but some of the spanish clubs, Real Madrid aside. still have the cash. (Deportivo, Valencia, Barca etc..) The simple fact is that we don't have the cash for a transfer fee, signing on fee and wages.

After watching the Chelsea game i feel our biggest need is a fourth striker.

O'Shea looked excellent at the back and could partner Rio for the next ten years. Wes and Gaz are adequate cover when Larry retires. Full backs are relatively cheap so I don't think they need to be factored in as a major expense.

We have six marketable midfielders, four for the two central positions, and some very promising youngsters.

Many have suggested signing Crespo for 25 million (less what Lazio owe). I think a more complex deal could be better. We get Ronaldo, Lazio get Seb and Inter get Crespo (or Nesta or whoever). We would still need to find 30 million or so, slighty more than Crespo would cost but we would save on Seb's wages and Ronny would sell as many shirts as seb and Crespo combined.

In many ways I would like Seb to stay. It would be great to see him prove the critics wrong and I think he will. However, we can afford to lose one midfielder and we desparately need a fourth striker. Ronny would provide the spark in Europe that Fergie hoped Seb would.

Ronny may never be as affordable as he is now.

On a loan he might be worth trying. I wouldn't go for buying, not for the fees Inter is holding out for.

Ronaldo or any other proven striker on loan, with long term options being explored over the year/next Summer (and seeing what happens with Forlan). That would suit me just fine.

I would prefer a loan too but can't see Inter allowing it. To be honest I can't see us buying either. Just wishful thinking.

We really need a striker that is proven but I get the feeling the we won't see one and it might be some Argentinian or other South American who doesn't have much experience. Someone from europe aged around mid 20's would solve our problem but will he start or be on the bench, I am sure he will get half amount of games this season.

In all honesty i think our only way of getting a 4th internaltional class striker, would be through a swap deal, and the only one that comes to mind is Veron for Crespo and we write off the £8million that Lazio owe us. But with the dealine so close its unlikely thar it could be completed in time

eh hello people we dont need another word class striker we just need cover! why do people keep forgeting that ole is one of the best strikers in europe! he shud be one of the first people on the team sheet come sat afternoon! he is just pure class and he scores sooo many goals! he must hate always doin sub like even when he scores the winner against west brom he is sub again! it annoys me greatly so i dont know wot it is like to him!

Ole and Ruud are world class, but you can't exect them to play every game. What is point of buying a striker just for cover. In 2000 we had the best midfield in europe and SAF went and bought Veron.(ok it hasn't worked yet) but he didn't by Veron as cover. He bought him in as another option. You don't win feck all with 2 world class strikers and 2 that are ok. In 1999 we had 4 class strikers. We need quality options, personally i don't see what people would have against the swap deal for Crespo i suggested. He's class and he's still relatively young

We need a striker with better hair styles than forlan and ronaldo!!

Beckhams bonce is already to much to take, fergie should crew-cut the lot of them in their sleep!

God yes. It doesn't matter how talented they are if they have a bad hair style.

well it doesn't really matter what "people" think because it's down to the two clubs...and i doubt SAF wants to lose face by sending back his 28 million pound man...and i also somehow doubt that lazio want to send over their best striker...even if it's for veron.

as for ronaldo, i would hate to see a person like him sign for the club. sure he's got some skill (ok, ok, understatement), but we don't know how consistent he is yet back from his injury. but what i dislike about him is his attitude...i can't see SAF signing a player who might turn his back on the club like ronaldo has just done for inter...the idiots shot himself in the foot.

I still believe there is something else there. Ronaldo wasn't getting on with Cuper and it was actually Inter who declared him "transferable" to start with.

Every time Ronaldo appears on Brazilian TV he doesn't say "I want to go to Real", he says "All I can say is I don't want to play for Inter anymore". I think they have done a Rio on him, they DO want to cash in on his WC performance before he gets injured again and have made it look like he wanted to leave. He looks very bitter about the Inter management (not the fans) so I do have the impression he is getting offloaded and he is not enjoying all the shit he is getting from Inter fans.

Why don't you contact Real and see if you can broker the transfer?

I can't think of any reasons why this could possibly fail..
