Juventus have tabled a £16 million offer to Paris Saint Germain for Ronaldinho.
The Brazilian international's representatives are expected to hold talks with officials from both Juve and Inter in Italy this week, plus Manchester United.

Tuttosport says PSG trainer Luis Fernandez has recommended to his board that they sell Ronaldinho in January after falling out with the striker this season.

Juve's offer has fallen £4 million short of PSG's £20 million valuation and football chief Luciano Moggi is expected to return with an improved offer later this month.


Sounds a bit cheaper than I imagined, though I guess prices are coming down again now.
 
He did pretty well against England! But yeah, he's got a lot of pace, maybe not as physical as you might like, but certainly comparable with Henry.
 
ronaldinho is NOT comparable to henry. nothing like him.
and he is extremely skillful, but not quick.
 
Ronaldinho would be class. Throw in Joaquin and Vicente either now or in the summer and we would be sorted.
 
we definitely need something like it. flair and long-lost return of penetration in the final 3rd. we need either a ronaldinho type whose gonna run at people or a speed merchant (Cisse ;) ) to thread balls through to. we look too pedestrian in the opponents half - if you look at the arse they have runners from everywhere who can do damage. we used to have that, aye, in our pomp we did... :cool:
 
a winger who actually takes people on would be nice too - unless were gonna rely on JOS to take people on in the final 3rd. :rolleyes:
maybe that guy with no neck who plays for the pudding eaters after all.
 
Ronaldinho can play on the wing too...I think that Fergie should have bought him instead of Veron to play alongside Keano

noooooo chance... if veron can;t play in the PL, then ronny will find it too dificult in the mid n'all... altho i think he'd do much better as a second forward behind ruud... (or even on the right wing)

Why do people keep inventing positions for players?

Ronaldinho on the wing or in central midifeld is a waste of money. If we are insisting on playing 4-5-1 than he is The Man to link up in the hole.

If it doesn't work it's not because he doesn't adapt to the EPL but because we shouldn't play that way in the EPL.

Not as a left winger. He played as a link-up man with Rivaldo. Rivaldo would stay behind Ronaldo (with Ronaldinho alternating wings) or move up front as a second striker (with Ronaldinho going to the centre).

My point is, his real value is in his ability to perform as a roaming link-up man (best at it) and not just being a left winger (many players as good or better).

but i just cant see us shelling out for him, i just cant. i would even be for selling JSV to fund this, but with JSV doing well in the CL, we're not likely to sell this year, unless we can get a replacement who hasnt played in UEFA comp this year. does anyone else expect us to spend 20mil without selling this january? and on one player when the strength in depth isnt there?
yes ideally Cisse and Ronaldinho would come in and win us the CL, but that isnt gonna happen. not this year, and next year they will both be settling at new clubs.

Classic planetbollox, no quotes. Ronaldinho at £15 million would be a snip. My preference would be to sign Joaquin and Duff/Vicente on top of a good striker.

Ronaldinho is unpredictable, arrogant, a techniqually genius with an eye to goal. He is able to play deep and take the ball up to the forward line, and is able to do magic with ball

He has the guts to succeed

Make him white (not a racism sad joke mind you)

Motivate him

Shave his hair

And make him French

And believe me you will have another Eric Cantona

if ronaldinho signs for juve then i recon one of the top stars at juve is under threat. maybe del piero or trezeguet. i guess if ronaldinho doesn't sign 4 us we could get del piero! not bad i guess!
 
curly sue would be in direct competeition for del pierro's position right?
we tried to land del pierro moons ago, dont know why juve would need Ronnie in this case, del pierro's running games at the moment.
