World Cup-winning Brazil star Ronaldinho claims he is "ready" to join Inter Milan as his club Paris Saint-Germain continue to struggle.
PSG have had a torrid time in France's Le Championnat this season - they currently languish in eighth place and have been dogged by questions over the future of manager Luis Fernandez all season.
PSG are also known to have large debts and the club's owners, French TV company Canal+, are keen to cash in on their most saleable asset.
Ronaldinho said: "To wear the Nerazzurri shirt would be a very important achievement for me and I'm ready for this experience.
"[Inter president Massimo] Moratti is a great man and he wants to construct a successful side by combining great players. This is the right thing to do and one which fans are all in favour of."
The Brazilian playmaker, who excelled at last summer's World Cup, has interested a number of Europe's top clubs, including Manchester United, but the player appears to have his heart set on a move to Serie A.
He added: "The Italian school of football is an example to everyone where players such as Baggio and Maldini have developed.
"I've spoken to Ronaldo about Italy and also Roque Junior. The Milan player is always telling me that playing in Serie A will test my maturity as a player. I need to do this."
Looks like we ain't gonna get him!
