If he does in fact sign it could be good, but then again what r the differnces between him and veron not much, so what makes everyone so sure that he will in fact succed.

The only similarities between Ronaldinhio and Veron is that they're both South American. That's where the similarties end.

In all due respects you're talking a load of horse. Veron & Ronaldinho are chalk and cheese.

How did Veron perform in the World Cup ? In my opinion he was way below par. England minded him like a child and he made so many passing mistakes. In a strange way I was glad to see it, because for once he showed that he can play for his country like he has been playing for United for 85% of the season.

On the other hand Ronaldinho was brilliant for Brazil. He made a mockery of so many defenders, and brilliantly set up Rivaldo for his goal against the English. Didn't see Juan do that against the English did you ?

You simply can not compare the two players in my opinion

So true - although in fairness Ronaldinho would pass for disco's sister any day of the week !

Sister ? Apparently, he can score 8 times a night, according to the Sun ! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

More seriously, PSG wants to keep him, but Canal plus group, who has lost money those last months with Messier's problems, is keen to sell him to a big club.

Both have talent too.

So? Girls usually have less problems with that than guys.

Based on what i've seen in the WC Ronaldinho could play in the hole behind Niestelroy, the position we tried Scholes, Giggs and Veron in CL games last year. Ronaldinho is quick, takes on players and creates chances for other strikers. He looks versatile too, could probably play on either flank.

Don't know much about his club record. Is he injury prone? How many goals etc?

He'd be the ideal player behind Ruud in a 4-4-1-1 setup. Canal+ who own PSG, apparently want to cash in on him despite the protests of the PSG manager.

I pray it comes true. Care to join me? <img src="graemlins/angel.gif" border="0" alt="[Angel]" />

Same news I heard here in Brazil, from the horse mouth. Asked on his future, he said he was happy at PSG but aware that CANAL+, a major stakeholder, wanted to cash in on him to make up for losses.

He didn't mention any clubs/countries though.

And Kemo, I won't go as far as praying but I will join you in the day-dreaming of Ronaldinho tearing apart the Pool defence. Mmmmm, aaaaah :D

every time i see Ronaldinho i think hes going to burst into a rendition of 'Dancing on the ceiling'
soul glow man, sort out that 80's hair!

Perhaps removing his front teeth with a crowbar would be a better option.

Fantastic, IMO it's all we need from midfield up. That would only leave the defender-shopping to do.

If we dared just settle for someone like Ayala at ~8m and find some promising fullback cover/first team would-be for ~5m. Sell Fortune, Yorke and maybe some other squad player and we end up spending no more than Rio's 30m.

Just think about that massive strike power:

Butt, Keane, Scholes, Giggs, Beckham, Veron, Ronaldinho, Forlan, OGS, RVN.

Bring them on!
