I don't like Posh much either, but I will offer congrats, even though it's a bizarre name they've picked.
What I will say about Posh's so-called influence over Becks is, that Beckham was a talented player before he ever met Posh, so I don't think you can give her much credit for developing his career.
SAF, the coaching staff, Eric and other influencial players deserves far more credit.

O.K. David no problem.

Yes, it's a popular name in Spain and the Latin world. Too bad the boy's english eh? I mean, they might as well name him Gao Bing Beckham. Since it's such a popular and common name in Asia, it's ok, noone in England would be amused or find it weird.

Either that or they did it in an Alfa Romeo.
Doubt it mind, an Alfa Romeo would be a bit down market for them.

In that case Alf would have been better.

That's all very well, but how do you think little old Romeo is going to feel when he gets his absurd name called out everyday in front of his classmates?

He'll then mention his family name and shut 'em up.

About the same way that "Moon Unit" Zappa did. Builds character.

Kinell, do you lot seriously think Romeo is gonna catch grief in the playground? He'll probably go to a private school, with equally uniquely named kids, and with kids as they are, they'll all want to be his mate so they can meet his England captain Dad and pop star Mum.
Still a daft name though imo.
Congratulations to them both all the same.
BTW, well said Tine.

Its a good point well made
