i hate the slut! im mean look at the way she dresses him for school, that tupid leather suit, sarong and so on.

I think I'll go with the "congrats" instead of the slagging off...ffs people

I mean...honestly...you're all right in slagging her off obviously...it's not like he's been any good for us since they met...she's been no good influence on him whatsoever, he became a totally rubbish player and person/character ever since...just look at the past few years, how his career has been going, how he's developed as a player, personality/character...yep, very bad thing that was that she came into his life...done him no good at all on and off the pitch...she's not made him any happier off the pitch or better on the pitch...oh no.

I don't like Posh much either, but I will offer congrats, even though it's a bizarre name they've picked.
What I will say about Posh's so-called influence over Becks is, that Beckham was a talented player before he ever met Posh, so I don't think you can give her much credit for developing his career.
SAF, the coaching staff, Eric and other influencial players deserves far more credit.

The english, american and irish (all english native speakers) and their deep and famous knowledge about other languages and cultures.
Romeo is a popular name in spain and the latin world. That doesn`t mean that I like it or would have choosen it, but it isn`t a bizarre name for a child.

<img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Oh dear, oh dear oh dear...

Why didn't they just call it "cnut" or "taking the piss" ? ;)

Yes, it's a popular name in Spain and the Latin world. Too bad the boy's english eh? I mean, they might as well name him Gao Bing Beckham. Since it's such a popular and common name in Asia, it's ok, noone in England would be amused or find it weird. ;)

You can just picture them calling hm in for his dinner Romeo romeo where for art thy romeo <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

in that crap cockney accent... ;)

Romeo?!...and people say that Keano is losing the plot. I think its Beckham whose lost his marbles.

It's a ridiculous name for an adult, let alone a child.

Aren't their parents advising them??

Poor child will have a lot to put up with. At least Brooklyn had some originality.

Poor little kid ,if they took their heads out of their arses for 2 mins they would see what a burden they are saddling the poor mite with. Why not call him David jnr?Ahh not publicity grabbing is it?
Good luck little soul, you'll need it with Pinky and Perky for parents, not to mention a name sure to make you a laughing stock throughout your school days

Or maybe they had a night of passion 9 months ago in Rome but thought Romeo would be a better name than Rome

Either that or they did it in an Alfa Romeo.
Doubt it mind, an Alfa Romeo would be a bit down market for them.

In that case Alf would have been better.

Congrats Becks! I'm glad you and your wife had a healthy son and both your wife and son are doing well. I couldn't give a damn if you named him Juliet and sent him to school in a pink frock, just as long as you do us proud in the red shirt.

That's all very well, but how do you think little old Romeo is going to feel when he gets his absurd name called out everyday in front of his classmates?

He'll then mention his family name and shut 'em up.

Kinell, do you lot seriously think Romeo is gonna catch grief in the playground? He'll probably go to a private school, with equally uniquely named kids, and with kids as they are, they'll all want to be his mate so they can meet his England captain Dad and pop star Mum.

Still a daft name though imo. ;)

Congratulations to them both all the same.

BTW, well said Tine.
