Rome

Has it got Caligula shagging his sisters and nieces in it?

If not, then it's not worth watching.

No, it doesn't get as far as Caligula, first series is all about Caesar and the first Civil War.

It has got an unprecedented amount of boning and gratuitous nudity for a mainstream TV show though, which is nice... and yes, a brother and sister incest scene

I'll have to check it out. Love Roman history, anyway.

Italian birds are fit as feck, Spoons. But you have to be dressed well or they don't give you the time of day.

As a result, they never gave me the time of day.

On a related note, Spanish birds look like Italian ones who've been smashed several times over the top of the head with a mallet

my amazing sopranos journey.

In the sense of, "watching loads of episodes of The Sopranos"?

I just bought the second series dvd today. Cant wait to get stuck into it, the first series was fecking superb.

Bugger. Never been well dressed. I like casual. . .sometimes scruffy, but in a cool way, of course.

The second season is even better, its a shame they've canned the series but it did cost HBO a bollock to produce

What pisses me off is the show cost too much money to produce and they ended it after just 2 years. One of the best shows thats been put on for a while.

yeah it was top notch...the 'gladiator' scene at the end of the first season was fantastic "Thirteen!"

Kevin McKidd is very good in it

2nd season is pretty good too

That used to happen a lot, yes, even 2000 years ago. So did bumming young boys (Catholic priests did not actually invent that particular barbarity).

Was legal in this country till the late 1800's, apparently. Not bumming kids, but incest and all that. In fact, probably bumming kids and all.

that was the best fighting scene ever.

Anyways, you'll find that without Caesar, the second season is not as good as first. It gets better once they introduce the older Augustus. It's stil worth watching though

I didn't rate the first season very highly, can't really be arsed buying the second

this is without doubt one of the best shows on tv in the last 12 months and Im a big fan of a lot of the american shows and watch most of them.

the fight scene in the arena is brilliant and shot in such a realistic way

ttttttthhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrtttttttteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnn

shame they didnt continue it further

I'm gutted that they won't do another series. It's not that accurate historically, but who cares. Great show. Second season is even better than the first one.

Finally got round to watching this. Fan-fecking-Tastic.

This is weird.

Someone bought me the first series on DVD last week, and recommended I give it a watch. Finally got round to watching the first episode last night. Looked like it could be very good, though some of the acting was a bit ropey

I was going to start a thread about it.
