I couldn't find a thread for him.

What a player and a performance today vs City, only 21 years old, scored huge goals in Madrid's run to UCL final this year.

Whenever I watched him I thought he was an excellent youngster, goes bit under the radar since Benzema and Vini are the stars this year.

I think he will go on to be a mainstay in Madrid for the future alongside Vini.

Scored more goals this week than in his 81 previous appearances apparently

Keep performing like this and he may find himself going to Qatar.

Brazil usually calls-up Neymar, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Barbosa, Firmino and a fifth attacker. Could be Rodrygo or Vini Jr.

Do they still take Firmino? Richarlison and Antony have also been there in the last few squads.

They used to do that for a long time. Maybe now not so much. Richarlison was fantastic in the Olympics and Antony is very good winger, so will be interesting to see what happens.

A big name is missing out on the tournament for sure.

I don't think he's a standout player but what a night he had.

Firmino is out.

If 26 players are allowed then it’s Rodrygo or Martinelli.

Problem for him is, he's a year younger than Vini, more injury prone, one year behind Vini in his development, and we're getting Mbappé next year

I want us to keep because i think he's every bit as big a talent as Vini, but i'm not sure he's gonna want to stick around as a backup long enough :(

He’s a better finisher than Vinicius and up till this season, I thought he was the bigger talent. Vinicius’ meteoric rise this year changed my mind but I think it’s close. It’s just a shame that they both prefer playing from the left.

They’re also just 6 months apart in age so Rodrygo might have to go somewhere else to fulfil his talent.

Raphinha?
The attack now apparently is going to be Vinicius-Neymar-Raphinha. Antony is sub for Raphinha. There are a lot of new wingers and no elite cf in this generation, so Tite gave up trying to start Firmino or Gabriel Jesus and is using Neymar as false 9.

I think you are underrating him, he was Real Madrid best player the previous game against Espanyol, he scored 2 that night. He was the game changer against Chelsea. He is the main reason why Real Madrid is in the final. Give him the credit he deserves

I watched real very consistently since Zidane left and I just don't see it with him, his stats are horrible and I don't think with the arrival of Mbappe he would get the time he needs to develop.

Has the right attitude and your correct he deserves a lot if credit for his recent ucl performances .

He has finally got the confidence he has been lacking for a long time. It seemed that he was playing with a lot of restraint.
For the final and taking into account that the CKM is going to play by decree law, who would you put, Rodrygo or Valverde?

I think the best option is to play Valverde and use Rodrygo and Camavinga in the second half, same as Ancelotti has done of late. I also believe that's what he is going to do in the final.

Think Real Madrid haven't got the most out of him playing him out on the right wing. He's much better playing more centrally.

MOTM today. He is a curious one, he surely has to be one of the most underrated players in Europe. The last 5-6 times I’ve watched him play he has been really good. But I can’t decide what I think his potential is?

I think he's just been hamstrung by Vinicius being in his spot. If swaps happened more regularly in football it would make sense to move him to a team that will stick him at LW and send Madrid back a RW, RB or #9 and some money.

It's not an uncommon problem. Now that wingers are almost always inverted, RW is the problem position, since there are less left-footers around. 20 years ago it was LW since wingers weren't inverted as much, which was always a disaster for England for example apart from the few weeks Joe Cole was healthy and in form. Alan Thompson from Celtic even got a call up.

That's why Antony's fee isn't as insane as it seems, since we have Sancho, Garnacho and Rashford probably all best at LW and may not have a 2nd RW who is first team quality. I won't be surprised if we just go without one if Amad doesn't make it and Sancho gets a fair amount of game time there whenever Antony is out.

Everybody knows this, the problem is he's not quite ready to play as a lone CF, and we have Vini and Benzema anyways

He does tend to move inside even when starting from the right, and Carvajal pushes up a lot. Doubly so when Valverde is playing behind him in midfield

2 brilliant goals vs Cadiz yesterday. Brilliant player. His close control of the ball while running is so mesmerizing.

Been moaning a lot lately in the press. Didn’t expect it to be this quick. Might be gone next summer. Question is: where?

Would like to see him at a club where he is first choice at some point in time. He's flying a bit under the radar because of his competitors but I guess he could become a star if he finds a top club that starts him on the left or through the center.

Next summer is shaping up to be a really good market for LW or wide forward players - Wirtz, Williams, maybe Rodrygo, maybe Khvara, maybe Isak and Openda who can both play as a wide forward on the left.

If he leaves, needs to be somewhere they let him be a Left wing forward
