First manager to be ruled out with injuryApparently team briefings are held in the treatment room….
A combination between A, D and E.
Some amount of coaching brains to pick from (if he needs too) from who he's played under. (Fergie, Wenger, Van Gaal, Hiddink, Advocaat)
Harsh to leave out Moyes like thatSome amount of coaching brains to pick from (if he needs too) from who he's played under. (Fergie, Wenger, Van Gaal, Hiddink, Advocaat)

I'd 9-1 to be an Heerenveen fanGot thrashed 9-1 by Alkmaar

Is that kind of scoreline going to make him a national joke?Ah, this is actually the wrong thread. He is good enough for the Eredivisie for sure. He's only 31.
On topic: poor Robin. At least he responded well in his interview. He'll be sacked by november.

Nah, Van Persie is very respected. It does immediately rekindle the debate that some former top players cannot succeed at small clubs, because they have trouble realising the players they work with have only 1% of the natural talent they did.Is that kind of scoreline going to make him a national joke?
Why? Why is this the default narrative now for when teams constantly get beat by playing the same way and refusing to change?Nah, Van Persie is very respected. It's commendable Van Persie wants to play from the back, but maybe stop doing it when you're trailing 6-1. Afterwards ge vety eloquently argued he has a certain style in mind and isnt going to change it just because they were annihilated 9-1, which is, again, commendable, but a bit unrealistic.
I'd still take him as Feyenoord's head coach in a heartbeat. I love him.
Parroting onHe just kept repeating himself it seems
I recall there’s always been tonkings in the Eredivisie, but 9-1 is steep! Does he just carry on as is after that or do you [Dutch] generally expect a team to play defensively and tighter after that?Nah, Van Persie is very respected. Oh, Robin van Persie...

Because football is a spectator sport and attractive football is more fun to watch? Because in The Netherlands it doesn't count unless you have 65% possession? Why? Why is this the default narrative now for when teams constantly get beat by playing the same way and refusing to change?
