At last, although I feel slightly saddened I think this is the best move for all concerned. Let's face it Robbie has not improved at all under GH, perhaps the only player not to do so. He was becoming an expensive bench warmer and a constant source of adverse publicity. He has never suited our style of play, in that he has no pace so he was always going to struggle. I also believe the club couldn't improve his current contract because of his small contribution, therefore leaving him no option but to leave.
I do however, appreciate the great contribution Robbie made to Liverpool down the years, but it's been 4 years since he has produced the sort of form he's capable of. If he finds that form at Leeds good luck to him, even if he bangs in a hat-trick against us at Elland road I still won't regret his sale. He was never going to improve while we have Heskey and Owen there. He is too easily dispossessed and too slow to the ball.
I would'nt woryy too much about the future though lads, Milan Baros looks a good prospect, fast, technically gifted and strong. I don't think he'll have any problems filling Robbies boots.
