Strengths: I’m quick, strong and good in the air, and I like to get the ball down and play.
Ways I can improve: I’m working on my positioning - specifically getting back into defensive positions quicker after an attack. I’m an attacking player and I like to get forward, but you need to do the defensive side of the game as well.
A player at United I admire: Growing up, I always looked up to Ryan Giggs. I play in the same position and I’m left-footed as well. I like Wayne Rooney and the way he plays too. It's great to learn things from seeing those players in training or watching them in games, so I always try to pick up little things from them and add them to my game.
I first got spotted: I was playing for St Kevins Boys Club back home in Dublin and I was playing for my county team as well. I got invited over to United and a few other clubs were interested, but this was always the place I wanted to be.
Life at United: It’s brilliant. Being here is the sort of thing you dream about as a young kid. Playing football is all I’ve ever wanted to do. If I didn’t play football I don’t know what I’d do. Playing for United is unbelievable, more so when you actually sit down and think about how fortunate you are. Most of my friends are fans so they were delighted that I signed, especially if I get them tickets!
In five years’ time I’ll be: I’m no different to any other young lad here, it's my dream to be playing in United’s first team and hopefully go as far as I can in football. I’d love to play for this club for as long as I can.
Best moment in football so far: Playing in the Reserves has been great and it’s another step on in my career, but I really enjoyed winning the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland this summer. I missed out the year before because of injury, but I thought I played well this year, scored a few goals and, of course, we won. So it was a great experience.
Worst/most embarrassing moment: I can’t think of too many bad moments, I’ve missed some bad chances before. But I don’t think about that too much.
Favourite other sports: I like boxing and I used to box a bit back home in Ireland. Davide [Petrucci] can box as well, but we’ve not had any scraps yet!
Music: I’ll listen to anything, as long as it’s not Heavy Metal or something like that.
Food: A lot of things! Nando’s is my favourite.
TV: I bought all the Prison Break DVDs recently. I’ve really enjoyed that but I’m nearly finished so I’ll have to find something else to take up my time.
Best mate at United: I’ve got two best mates, Conor Devlin and Scott Wootton.
Best trainer: Alberto [Massacci] is one of the new Italian lads and he puts it in every day, I’ve been impressed with him. Scott gives it his best every day too.
Worst: There are a few! Last year it was Conor, but he’s improved a lot. I’ll say Ravel Morrison. When he’s on his game he’s quality. But I reckon it’s just when he fancies it!
Best dressed: Reece Brown has some good gear, I’m sure a few people have said that.
Worst dressed: All the Italian lads like to think they’ve got style, but I think it’s only them that think so!
