Japanese Moto2 rider Shoya Tomizawa has died after suffering a shocking crash in San Marino.

Suter's Tomizawa was travelling at full speed when he was hit by the bikes of Italy's Alex De Angelis and Britain's Scott Redding.

:(

It really was a sickening accident, worst part of the circuit to lose the bike and just pot luck where you end up.

The same thing almost happened last month too when a rider just narrowly avoided getting run over.

Tragic for Tomizawa and awful for the lads who hit him...I'm surprised more don't get killed in what must be one of the most dangerous sports.

The guy who ran over him must be in shock...

But yeah it's a really dangerous sport. We're lucky such fatal incidents don't occur more frequently

RIP, that looks horrible.

I saw that one of the 3 walked away, what were the injuries to the one that skidded along the track?

Second death for a motorcyclist in a short span of time too - a 13-year Peter Lezn died last week during a warm-up session.

Ah bike racing is probably the most dangerous form of motorsport. That was a truly terrible crash.

Condolences.
