RIP, Ingmar Bergman

Oh RIP then. . .( although Weaste'll lecture me)

I've seen Persona and Seventh Seal. Films that you have to watch more than once. . .to pick up on minor points.

Michelangelo Antonioni also passed away yesterday. I've only seen Blow Up by him which was amazing but I definitely want to get hold of his other movies most of which are very highly rated. He also directed one of the segments of Eros with Kar Wai and Soderbergh.

What an awful day for film making, i've only seen Il Deserto rosso (The red Desert) by Antonioni but it is a brilliant film and I will get round to watching more.

RIP both legends

Classic scene from The Seventh Seal, one of his more accessible films.......

I suspect his funeral will be suitably morbid, maybe even a Dance of Death.

I suspect that there is a small Jewish pensioner, somewhere in Manhattan, palying his clarinet a little bit more sombrely now.

Persona is one brilliant film and perhaps the one that Woody Allen has been trying to emulate all these years.
