The man of the moment is currently on holiday in Las Vegas, probably partying like mad Dwight Yorke style. But on his return, the Daily Mail reports that is due to tell the Leeds board that he wants to join Manchester United. He has already made up his mind apparently (Looks like one WC mission was accomplished eh?)

Fergie has probably persuaded Rio to do this, similar to how he got Yorke. It'd be funny if their new manager was John Gregory, he could come up with another stupid quote.

So all of you worrying that everything has gone quiet and that Ridsdale is determined not to sell, think back to Villa. All it took was for Yorke to say "I want Man Utd" and the deal will be completed. Ferguson knows what he's doing, the board have sanctioned a move, and Fergie already knows Rio is going to be pulling in the same direction - as he did with Dwight.

Also Daily Mail report that if Rio stays at Leeds, he can join any club he wants next year for £22million (another clause!). So this year a bid of £35m may atually be over the top. I think the original figures of £25m - £30m are more likely.

IMO Daily Mail is alot less fairty-tales than The Sun/Mirror etc.

It's just as much fairy tales.

But this one isn't far from the truth. I said it before, I'll say it again, Fergie's close friends with Ferdinand's agent, he already knows by now whether the player wants United or not.

And if it's not, our gaffer already knows to move on in his search.

I reckon Rio is off to try his luck in the MLS, that's why he is in Vegas, probably signing with the Las Vegas Casinos

Or what about the San Jose earthquakes!

We'll need a special permission to use two balls if we want Denilson.

A very detail story.... Do you also have a friend whose relative jave a friend who is working as a football agent? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Though I hope what you said is true. We should sign Rio, and we CAN get him if we really try hard, no matter what Ridsdale said.
