'Rio' voted best music video of all time by viewers of MTV

Duran Duran's 'Rio' has been voted the greatest music video of all time.

The 1982 promo features the band being teased by scantily-clad women on a beach in the Caribbean.

Bjork's robotic video for her 1999 hit 'All Is Full Of Love' took second place in the poll of around 40,000 viewers of MTV.

A-ha's 1985 video 'Take On Me' came third, while Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' followed in fourth.

Damn! I had money on the Village People! :(

his name is rio and he kicks the ball at fans
his name is rio, best defender in the land,

we really should have a rio rio ferdinand song.

Is this one of those awards where fans voted, if so, they're always dodgy.

I wonder if Rick Astley has got nominated because of his fans voting - must be.

PS: Smooth Criminal (full version) is the best video ever

Seriously though, something by Spike Jonze or Windowlicker should have won

Well its voted by MTV viewers so you cant expect too much to be honest - even managing to include Bjork and Sigur Ros in the Top10 is quite a bold move for them!

You can see the whole top10 here:

Take on Me was probably the most revolutionary imo
