after undergoing an operation today on a knee injury, Fergie said that the injury has been bothering him for some time and that he prefered to get it out of the way now rather than later on in the season. :(

terrible news, but we have Blanc & O'Shea and Gary Nevile. With Wes Brown returning and Phil Nevilles good form its not as bad as it may sound.
Promote a full back and move Gary central if neccesary.

Ferdinand might be back sooner than Wes. He'll be out for another 4-6 weeks, won't he.

CL qualifacation is secure. Hell probably only miss 5 PL games and be back in mid november for the upton park game.

Well we've got a good replacement in JOS, but what happens when Larry gets a bit tired, bring in David May?

Gary at CB, Phil at right back - both of their preferred positions.

It is bad news but i'm glad he's having the op now, rather than later in the season. If my maths is right that will mean he should be back for the start of the second phase of the CL.
