Ricketts?

if we bought this guy, we would have the 4tt striker and would be a good replacement for when or if ruud was to become injured - his strength would allow us to play the 4 - 4 - 1 - cos he could hold the ball up pretty good and he also has pace - is it worth it??

Presuming your talking about Michael Ricketts of Bolton, I remember watching him back when Bolton were in Divison one, he was a bit of a superstar(not to a David May liking of superstar but close), scoring goals left, right and centre - I did suggest him once because of this and alway wanted to see him in the Premiership - He's disappointed me a bit since hes been in the league, but still a good player none the less

No. He has the attributes we need, but that isnt enough. He isnt a good enough allround footballer. If you look at the squad and recent signings, he doesn't cut it.

Ricketts has no technique, he´s pure strenght like that big fat liverpool bastard known as Emile Heskey. Plus, he plays for a team who deserves to play in division one like Bolton. Djibrill Cisse is world-class, technical, strong and very very quick, he´s the man.
