Richard Pryor

EXTREMELY funny guy!

Loved his films

He did make some great films, but he also made a lot of shite. He'd often open his shows by apologising for them.

It must be said though that my indroduction to Pryor was Superman 3.

Love him though, although I can't listen to his albums much anymore what with having kids around. :nervous:

The only stand up comic that has been able to move me to tears through his comedy and through his brutal honesty, in relation to his eventful and sometimes tragic life.

It's got to be one of the worst films he ever made to be honest. Not a patch on Pryor/Wilder film Stir Crazy (or even Silver Streak).

That is a classic, to be fair. Watched it a couple months back. . .and was surprised how good it actually was. I've always liked Brewster's Millions and all.

Richard Pryor is the comedian that all modern comedians have to thank. He said "feck you" to slapstick & "hello" to life & times comedy... he was ground-breaking!

Stir Crazy is a timeless classic as Tron says & Brewsters Millions is another wicked show too... dont forget Car Wash either - the 1976 original, not that shite Snoop did...

Richard Pryor = Legend

I've actually seen Stir Crazy, but I just prefered the deaf/blind movie. The scene with Pryor fighting the man in the bar and Wilder is holding him saying '2 o'clock'. That near killed me

What more is there to say about them though?

I always liked his Mudbone stuff, but this is probably my favourite Pryor bit:
