Finally got around to trying this out. Bitterly disappointed by it. I was hoping the last one was just a bit of an experiment. But it seems they've kept that fidgety aiming system and increased the speed of the game. It's all too frantic and bright. Gave me a headache immediately

The first 3 were classics, why replace them with shit like Code Veronica

The Resident Evil games were poor up until 4, lets be honest. They had poor controls and silly and convulted puzzles.

i really like 5, but it doesnt seem like Resident Evil

id rather it wasnt so linear and fast, also bring back the zombies

RE 5 was well fun. I only ever played it with a mate, never played it single player untill we finished the campaign. Wasn't scary at all which was a bit dissapointing. Stand still and shoot is a non issue.

Ive almost got enough points to unlock unlimited ammo for the super magnum.

How can WP think Resi 1 and 2 were bad

I'm dying to find copies of these games

Can anyone help?

Don't know where you can get them, but I managed to pick them up on the GameCube about 2-3 years ago. Don't know about other platforms.

Crap

Looking for them on playstation

I asked everyone I thought would have it. They all say they have it, but when they look for it it's suddenly disappeared

Someones going around robbing all the copies of Resi 2

I had Nemesis on PS2... that was pretty friggin scarey. I think Resident evil's graphics are too good and the old darker graphics made things spookier.

Resident Evil 3 was fecking quality.. the puzzles, the unexpected appearances of Nemesis, the dark alleyways -- everything about it was five star.

Unfortunately.. it all went downhill from there.

Bought a copy of this last night and played a bit. It's good so far but i've only really had one jumpy moment. Nothing scary more eery in certain parts.

The eeriest bit so far is you have to get from one side of a plain to another and you cross crocodile infested waters and they come out of nowhere and feck you up.

A slight gripe would be that it's a little repetitive shooting the zombies/infected africans.

Back in the day RE 1 and 2 were the mother of all games, in my extremely humble opinon. I think I still have the original RE1 somewhere. You should be able to get them on Amazon, easy!

Just got this. The graphics look amazingly good. Too real almost. Gameplay is is good, but the controls really feck it up. Its really annoying when you have zombies rushing at you and you have to stand still and shoot. Overall, it could have been a great game, but the controls made it just a decent game.

The only good thing about it are the graphics, otherwise it's a pretty bland game with no gameplay challenge to speak of.

In hindsight: epic fail.

I think the final boss was what pushed me over the edge. It all went a bit too cheesy. Great graphics and an interesting concept with the partner, but after a while the gameplay let it down.

I managed to get through and sell the game on within a couple of weeks, way too short and not as challenging as the older games. Very little puzzle element to it, and in all honesty, very little horror as well. I really enjoyed it when i first got it but on reflection it's not that great.

Worst in the series IMO, very disappointing considering how great number 4 was.

edit: when I meant worst in the series, im not including the shitty spinoffs.

Going through for my 3rd time ... should have it finished tonight. Beat it on Veteran, rolled through on Amateur, on Normal now. Upgrading and purchasing everything before I beat it on Professional.
