I only kinda half played through these games back during the PS2 days. I know 5 is out next year but I've been tempted to buy some of the older ones. I remember playing a few and enjoying them. I liked Outbreak I think it was, the scenario one? Just noticed that had a sequel too. I also played one of the earlier ones, all I remember from that one is running away from Nemesis and hiding in a police station? I think you fight him outside before you run in? not sure which one that was.

Anyway, a game like Outbreak is only £7 on PLAY.com, so do you reckon it's worth getting along with others? i read some old reviews and they weren't great for it. Would it be worth it or was it just good at the time and buying it would make me realize how crap the AI/graphics/gameplay are?

The main series, i.e. Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, and 4 are all fantastic games, and games you would do no harm in buying. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is the one you mentioned, and you fight him multiple times throughout the game (Or you can be a wuss and run away;)).

I also liked Code Veronica for the Dreamcast, and the re-make of the original for the GameCube.

Resident Evil 2 was probably my least favourite of the lot, 4 is by far my favourite, it re-invented the series which was needed; as it was becoming a bit dated if you know what I mean.

5 is out on Friday 13th March and I can't wait for it, I've been following it for 3 years and as more trailers get released and more information is published, my excitement for the game grows. It's going to be an absolutely fantastic game, Chris and Wesker are back (Disappointed the latter only had a small part in 4) and it is a series with an absolutely fantastic storyline.

So I'd recommend you download an emulator and download roms of the first 3 Resident Evil's. If you have a BC PS3 then pick up Resident Evil 4 (It isn't great on the PC). That way you can get a grasp of the story before 5 is released.

Also if you've never played 1 you've never experienced one of gaming's most shit-scary moments.

I also loved the introduction to Resident Evil 1, was brilliant.

You've whet my appetite now, going to download these and replay them all.

Resident evils were great. Now I'm onto the House of the Dead series on Wii. It's just a lot more fun(and easier) shooting a gun at the Tv rather than using a console.

In what way, art? It's good, but there are several titles IMO that beat it on art. Technically it's no great shakes.

i probably went a bit over the top with my comment, but the character models of Chris Redfield and Sheva look astounding
