A substandard bag of meat and bones.
Last league game of the season against a team that has lost 6 of their last 9 games. It's at Turf Moor so hopefully the pitch will be better than the one at Wigan.

A chance for a few players to try and play their way into the team for the play-off final against Villa on Monday.

Team news to follow...

1. Zieler
2. Keane (M)
3. Dudgeon
4. Evans
5. Gill
6. Cole
7. Stewart
8. Possebon
9. Lingard
10. Norwood
11. Hussain

Subs:
12. Fornasier
13. Johnstone
14. Brady
15. Ekangamene
16. Cofie

Good to see Brady back from injury. First call up for Fornasier to the reserves, and first starts for Cole and Lingard.

Still no goals to note so far, Stewart coming closest when trying to round the keeper when one-on-one but the keeper got a hand to it to prevent him scoring.

Burnley were unfortunate not to get a pen at the end of the first half when Norwood appeared to foul their striker in the box.

cole is really quick isnt he
i thought he was a winger . then saw him play in the middle

he is thin /frail.. impressive if he is playing in the reserves

I think he is best at Central Mid, he has great close control and a few tricks and moves the ball around well. He's also shown he can score goals, and is quite competitive for his size.

They moved up some of the u16s (Michael Keane and Charni Ekangamene) and the fringe Academy players to supplement the reserve squad for the last few games otherwise it is unlikely they would have been selected above players like Pogba, Tunnicliffe, etc who have been used more frequently by Ole and Warren Joyce.

The Academy play on Saturday morning where they have a chance to win their league with a victory against Bolton so you can expect to see Cole, Hussain, Fornasier, Lingard, Johnstone on the bench for that game.

Seems a very intelligent player from what Ive seen of him. Still a baby though.

Anyone care to comment on Brady's performance?

He was solid, made a few good challenges and tried to get forward but wasn't on the pitch long enough to make any real judgement. Great to see him back though, maybe he'll get some more game time tomorrow.
