I might make it back in time to give updates on the match.

Gary Neville is expected to face Liverpool tonight, in his toughest fitness test so far.

The recuperating defender is set to be named in Mike Phelan's line-up for the FA Premier Reserve League fixture, which is being played away at Chester City's Deva Stadium. The match will kick off at 19:00BST and will be screened live and exclusively by MUTV.

If Gary survives what is likely to be a highly competitive match, it will improve his chances of restarting his first team career against Tottenham on Saturday or Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday. He was on the bench for the first time this season during Wednesday night's win over Maccabi Haifa.

Squad: Carroll, Neville, Tierney, Pugh, May, Fletcher, Chadwick, Stewart, Forlan, Nardiello, Richardson, Lynch, B. Williams, Rankin, M. Williams, Tate, Roche.

I won't be online until tomorrow (I access from work!).

I'll definately try to watch some of it on MUTV though. It'll be interesting to see the likes of Richardson and Fletcher against good opposition. Rico might even play against Babbell, which will be a massive test for him.

If Gary is out there at the pitch, Man Utd won't have any difficulty!

He played for us v. Everton, and we lost - I think Liverpool beat us last season in the reserves, but not sure about that.

after a long time of resting. I think (he should be) get some confindence on his feet again!

SAF said last night Gary will play for the reserves v liverpool

If you read my article you'd know he would be, and he is by the way. Its 0-0 after 17 minutes, most of the play has been Liverpool's and they've had two chances which Carroll has saved.

Oh, and Stewart has made a miraculous recovery from his twisted ankle, hence why he was on the bench last night - and playing now.

After Gary Neville has a penalty disallowed, they break down that flank, launch an early cross, its taken forwards, Tate tries to tackle but we were struggling to get back and a through ball was played to Mellor who had an easy goal to slot home. Carroll had made some good saves, Forlan had a chance which he could have tried to head instead of putting his foot to it, Tate is showing quality better than his years in fact will probably make the premiership and hopefully for us.

</strong><hr></blockquote>AND HE HATES SCOUSERS :D

May btw is now 32 and in his last year of his contract. Tierney has just had his 20th birthday. Gary is getting stuck in to his tackles, not worried about his foot at all.

Got a mate coming over in a minute, so I shan't be able to watch the rest. Liverpool have got a fair number of first teamers on the pitch like Berger, Babbel, Diomede, may be why they've performed better than us. Our reserves are mostly kids, and they can't handle physical stuff. Good to hear our fans are singing 'If you all hate scousers clap your hands'. :D

40 mins: Shocking miss from Diego Forlan from 5 yards outs. The Liverpool fans behind the goal all laugh as one.

<img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> sounds familiar

I think Forlan had gained confidence shooting goals after the first ever goal!

I missed the second half, but the reports suggest we had the better second half, and equalised near the end from a penalty taken by Nardiello.

So the journos writing those reports weren't sure whether we equalised or not then? Strange.
