Seems stupid that we are playing the day before at CL game.

fRom manutd.com:

A youthful Reds line-up will take on Manchester City in the FA Premier Reserve League on Tuesday evening.

With Mike Phelan away in Olympiakos with the first team, Brian McClair has selected the team to face the Blues - and has named a few of his Under-19 stars in the starting XI.

Mark Lynch, who spent much of last season on loan to St Johnstone is the most experienced player on view, and will play full-back behind Danny Pugh, fresh from his pre-season first team appearances.

Upfront, Choccy has plumped for a combination of Colin Heath and Daniel Nardiello, and with Quinton Fortune and Kieran Richardson having travelled with the first team to Greece, Kalam Mooniaruck and John Rankin will provide the width.

Kick off at Hyde United's ground is at 19:30, and MUTV will screen the clash exclusively live.

And here is the Man City team:

City side:Flowers, Loran, Tiatto, Wiekens, Dunne, Mettomo, Huckerby, Kerkar, Vuoso, Barton, Shuker

Subs :p aisley, Ellegaard, Whelan, Flood, Croft

We are going to get a right kicking!.

Agreed, they'll easily beat us, since we're weakened from the side that lost to them in the recent cup match. Can you put a link to this thread in the Youth Reports, it helps when we want to refer back. Cheers mate.

Errrr no.

We're losing 2-0 btw, after 53mins, down to poor goalkeeping by Ben Williams imo. We've looked the better side though.

Starting XI?

Today is Nardiello's 20th birthday. I hope he will score.

oh no...
0-5 :(

:( Shit. Not a good sign, although it does look like our team was weakened, while City had a number of first-teamers in there - not very good ones, but still first-teamers. ;)

The line-ups were:

United line-up: B Williams; Lynch, Tierney (Eckersley 69), Tate, Cogger; Pugh, Mooniaruck, Taylor, Rankin; Nardiello, Heath.

City: Ellegaard (Murphy 45); Loran, Tiatto (Flood 67), Mettomo, Dunne (Paisley 67); Barton, Wiekens, Kerkar, Shuker; Huckerby, Vuoso.

ManUtd.com say he was our outstanding player on the nite.

I went with a couple of mates (shitty fans) and I was stood with all of their fecking fans :(

Anyway all the shitty fans thought they had won the Champions League, it was embarrassing to listen to them say stuff like, "it's about time you got a stuffing"... half of them didn't realise that half their senior team was play against a team with the average age of 18, haha fecking shitty

Anyway Ben Williams was out standing, he pulled off some amazing saves and managed to save two penalties. Gonna be a great keeper for us.

Anyway we'll have the last laugh when we rape them at maine road, MUHAHAHHAHAHA

Definitely a very weak side ...

Have been impressed with Ben lately ... heard a lot abt him but then again - is he in front of Steele or behind him in the packing order ? ... We have 5 good GK in the team currently ... all first teamer ?!
