The Reserves' match against Manchester City tonight (Monday 2 February) has been postponed due to the inclement weather, following a pitch inspection at 1pm.
The teams were scheduled to meet in the Manchester Senior Cup at the Regional Athletics Stadium (adjacent to Eastlands).
Poor weather has delayed a number of the Reserves' league games this season, but far from being frustrated by the absence of action, coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer relishes the thought of playing catch-up with a congested fixture list.
"We had a few matches called off towards the end of last year, and we started this year by having Blackburn away postponed," he said.
"But that will be good for us when the games come thick and fast. We'll get into a similar routine to the first-team's busiest times, playing twice a week, albeit on Mondays and Thursdays. It will be great."
The rearranged trip to Blackburn on 26 January was the Reds' first match in the Barclays Premier Reserve League North since the 1-1 draw at Everton on 18 December, when Manucho scored his first United goal. The Angolan forward has since joined Hull City on loan, leaving Solskjaer a little short in attack.
"We haven't had many strikers, so we've played a different system with one man up front and five rotating in midfield. In fact, I have loads of midfielders, and some have had to play away from their normal position to get a game.
"Corry Evans is a great example. He's a central midfielder, but he's played fantastically well at centre-back. It's all part of the players' education."
