If his role is 1st Team Coach I doubt it.

He used to be a 'skills' coach. Have we gotten someone else to do that, or is he still responsible?

Head of overall youth development at a club like United who place a unique emphasis on rememberayers. .. I would say that counts as a promotion.
I remember some years ago an interview with Fergie mentioning that he was promoting Choccy McClair from reserve team manager to.youth team development role. Which having said that, if Meulensteen took that job where would that leave Choccy?
Depends if he wants to do it or not.
For anyone it would be a privilege to come in and work with the youth team as the head developer and someone with his experience it's definitely an important job to do.
But he might be over it and not really want to do that with his career at this point in time. Which would be a shame. Sometimes cataloging knowledge is harder than directly teaching it.
