Released Players?

Ioannou and Barber. Think I read something about Rudge and Barmby leaving as well.
 
Shame about Barmby. I think he will go on to have a good career in the lower leagues.

We usually axe a lot of youngsters at U15s/U16s lv but we seem to do it sooner in the last two years.

Don't want to specify names but a few starters in the Hibernia Trophy squad are in the list.
 
If I'm right, the agegroups are pretty big up to about u12 or u14 (I think at the lower groups they can even be 100+?) and a few get 'culled' so to speak every year. I can't say for certain because I never really asked but I knew one or 2 lads who were involved with United for a while as youngsters and there seemed to be regular culls, for want of a better word.

Yeah but the squad at U13s or younger usually being kept around 20 or more so 8 players get rid at one time is by no mean "regular".Of course we did release a few and add in a few every year.
 
If i remember rightly, Jack Rudge looked really good when he was playing with the academy or am i remembering the wrong cm..
 
Could this culling have something to do with the new performance director we signed this season?
 
Good luck to him, will probably be like Jack Barmby in that he is a signing for the reserves. Is up front his best position? He was always out the wing whenever I saw him.
