Having flicked through the thread about best bands to come out of Scotland I decided I'd throw these into the mix. A "supergroup" put together by Gary Lightbody back in the 01/02 who released two brilliant yet unsuccessful albums "Y'all Get Scared Now Ya Hear" and "Son of Evil Reindeer". The song "You Are My Joy" was the only song to achieve any chart success when it reached #89 in the UK Charts in June 2002. There has been talk recently of the band coming together to make a third album in the near future, especially after Richard Colburn of Belle and Sebastian became Snow Patrol's "6th Member." I for one, can't wait to see if this happens. The Reindeer Section were the sound of my early teens.
