There is nothing more in music that I get a kick out of than hearing a great new band for the first time, that first listen can be mindblowing.

So I am starting this thread and will keep it updated with my own new discoveries and hope others will do the same too.

Stateless

This is my first band. They are called Stateless and hail from Leeds and are an electoniclly fused indie/rock band and I have to say it is one of the most technically acomplished new albums I have heard in years. I have seen them live also last year (first time I have heard of them) and they blew me away.

Hailed as brilliant by the likes of DJ Shadow and Roots Manuva and many music critics these are a truely magnificant find.

Please listen, I think any fan of good music will find immence pleasure from these guys.

The Black Keys - okay they're not new but surprisingly few people over here know their music. They're a blues rock duo from Ohio and are immense live. Well worth seeing when they're over here next.

Indeed. They sound pretty cool. I'll check them out when they play in Huddersfield on the 10 Nov.

Kotki Dwa, bunch of kids but they've got so much talent and they've got a really cool sound.
