RedCafe Xbox Fifa 12 League Rules

  • Premier league teams only, 6 minute matches.
  • 2 games will be played each week, if everyone has completed their games before the week is over we will start the second week immediately.
  • You must choose a different team for each match therefore pick your teams carefully.
  • The league will consist of home and away games.
  • The maximum times you can use any team throughout the league is twice.
  • Once anytime during the first half of the season then once anytime during the second half of the season, E.g If you pick Utd in your 5th game. You must wait till you’ve played everyone, only then you can have the option of choosing Utd again anytime in the second half of the season.
  • You must finish both your 2 games before the week is over. (Sorry but we need the league to run smoothly and waiting for people to finish their games slows it down for the rest.)
  • 3 strike system for failure to complete your game(s) in that week :
    1- Warning, 2- Final Warning, 3 - Removed from the league
  • The league will be updated once weekly fixtures have been completed.
  • The league will consist of a maximum of 20 teams, therefore people wanting to join after can but only after the season is over as I cannot add people to the original spreadsheet.
  • If we have more than 20 people (which I doubt), once the league is over it will get split in half and we’ll have 2 divisions.
  • If your game is disconnected in the first half it would be ideal to replay the game otherwise players may choose to keep the score remaining if d/c in the second half. Entirely to your discretion if you can make a fair decision.
  • Rules may be amended at any point to make the tournament run as smooth as possible.

Hi all, after trying to get a new tournament going in the previous thread I decided to set up a league instead in a new thread and keep it seperate. Once the first set of fixtures are up the league can start. Hopefully the rules are easy to understand .
 
Well up for this.

I'm away from the 11th to 15th of April but shall be able to complete any fixtures around these dates
 
I'll only be able to play on weekends, if that's okay? Although I'm free friday through monday this weekend.

I'll be free for a game most of the afternoon.
 
I expect it may be a little confusing remembering who you've used and when you last used them...

I wouldn't have the five point deduction on the second strike. I'd just make it a final warning. After that they either abide or leave. They'll be on thin ice as it is so they'll need to tread carefully. I think a five point deduction will deter the person from wanting to bother making anymore effort.

That's just my opinion. The rest looks great, good going.

I think a running list on the results/league table page would be useful for that. It's important to make sure it's enforced properly.

When you've played your game put the team you used as well so

Neo_Mufc (Man Utd) 1 - 1 (Chelsea) cw1984 and I'll update it into the results. So if you ever forget if you;ve used a particular team just check on page one. Does that sound ok?

Yeh that's fine I'll change it to 2 strikes second and your out. I was going to do that but I thought it might be too strict for people.

What do you mean by running list? Is that all the fixtures of the entire season?

"How about u allot a team for each one on a random basis and we play with that team throughout in league format? 14 five star teams or 14 four and half star teams shouldnt be a problem i guess. Also it might be a little difficult to remember which team we used in the format u specified. Just a small suggestion"

I think allotting teams might be a difficult? I thought with the premier league format it would make it bit interesting as most of us know the league inside out. Hopefully with what I suggested about having everyone's team they used in the results should help sort out that problem.
 
I like the premier league format, because that was sometimes you are clear favourites, and other times you are underdogs but it really tests you, and you won't get bored of using the same team constantly.

With the premier league we all know most of the teams inside out because of Utd so it should work well. Choosing different teams as well makes it difficult because some who uses all the top 6 teams first might struggle later so it might be sensible to play villa vs west brom if you get my drift.

Yeh theres a few noobs in the list. I have a feeling that we might have a few duds in the league but I've added everyone that wanted to play so we'll see how it goes.

Foxy (Newcastle United) 4-3 (Sunderland) Bosnian_red

Was quite an even game, I was winning most of the time and then in the last 5 minutes I let my guard down and he scores 2 goals. Sunderland are shite though, sessegnon is their only good player in this game.
 
What's the gamertag of Harrisamo? He's my next game and you only have his redcafe name on there.

I don't think it matters in what order we do them in as long as the two games are played in the week. Me and Foxy were both online, so we played even though it says he's my second game, but since we were both this week I'm sure its fine.

I've not uploaded the whole list because if we have extra people join later I'll have to edit it again and it might also confuse people so I'll stick up the fixtures every week.

etc.

Just to keep tabs on it all.

I think choose who you want, as you suggested originally. That was a good idea.

Just to sort out an issue ASTAR's game vs I_Love_Dong got discontinued after 77mins and they kept their score at 4-1. Should there be a rule regarding disconnections? Perhaps you can restart your game if it hasn't got past the first half?

Had a friend request off ASTAR but presumed it would have been Carlsen or Foxy as they are who my opening fixtures are against.

Anyway, played it til 60mins 1-0 up and then it disconnected. Probably best we don't count that game considering we weren't actually supposed to be playing each other
