Redcafe United FM09

That was class last time, Psmith did a cracking job.
 
How did he go about? how many posters were in? and how do u set the stats?
 
That sounds like a plan. I found a weird video on youtube of fc united of redcafe or something the other day. With you michaelness playing under your previous moniker of sweeeeeeeeeet.
 
Never heard of this, Im guessing someone does a season with us as the players or is there more to it than that.

I think everybody gets a certain amount of points, then you use them to boost your attributes. you create all the players and replace the team for United.
 
I'll play the holding role in midfield. The Gunnarson position as it shall be donned.

Yeah at the time of the football manager thread i got the fifa manager game and made a team for a while (didn't last long) but with the fifa manager version you actually got to watch the games and see your player. But it didn't work out (/i couldn't be asked).

It was quite good actually seeing some familiar names playing away. Good giggle.
 
This was strangely addictive the last time it was done. Be surprised if anyone is arsed to do it as it was a lot of hassle for Psmith tbh.
 
I did one of these type games on another forum I'm on. Well, it was a bit different. The first one, I made everyone as 16-year old strikers placed in random clubs at the 3rd lvl of Spanish, Italian and English football. Everyone chose their position, etc, and could customize their stats to some extent. They couldn't pick every one of their stats, but they could decide which were the highest, which were the lowest, etc. Then I ran the game on holiday, and 'documented' everything that happened and posted a long update ever year or two in the Football Thread there.

Later I also did one with everyone as managers, again starting at the third level.

Fun times. Somehow I find it very interesting to see what happens.
